Mahek Chahal was born on February 1, 1979. She is a famous actress. Chahal started her career as an actress with the famous movie "Nayee Padosan" in which she played the role of Pooja Iyengar in 2003. After releasing her first movie, she acted in another movie "Chameli" in which she played the role of Dancer in bar in 2003. She got her fame from the movie "Dil Apna Panjabi" in which she played the role of Lisa in 2006.She is famous for her acting career and especially for the movie "Nayee Padosan" in which she played the role of Pooja Iyengar in 2003.She speaks Norwegian, and also think in Norwegian. She studied in a Norwegian-medium school. She had been doing modeling and dance shows in various countries around the world before she gave Bollywood a shot.Maheks linguistic shortcoming became a problem when she was considered for a role in Ajnabee , two years back. However, she was able to get a Telugu movie titled Neetho, but the director had to get her dialogues dubbed.Mahek quickly learned from her shortcomings and joined Kishore Namit's acting school in Mumbai, which has groomed newcomers Hrithik Roshan and former beauty queens Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza.A spruced up Mahek made her Bollywood debut last year with a marginal role in a forgettable flick Nayee Padosan. She also did an item number in Kareena Kapoor starrer Chameli.
